What a race. Today we saw the exhibition in Atatürk Culture Center, one of the three main biennale venues, then went to Platform Garantie Gallery for a presentation of the next Manifesta. Then followed the introduction to a symposium at Istanbul Modern museum featuring all of the curators of the previous nine biennales - and then an introduction of the work of our professor Marysia Lewandowska and curator Manray Hsu back in our HQ, before we saw the exhibition in (second biennale venue) IMC; then we were off for a thing Iaspis held at a café celebrating a new Gunilla Klingberg piece, and now we´re off for the Opening Party - as tomorrow is the official opening day.
Annika, Elisabet, Elisabeth and half of Anna.
WIRE is the MA programme in Critical Writing and Curatorial Practice at the art and design college Konstfack in Stockholm (WIRE = write, interpret, research, exhibit). In posts labeled The WIRE Diaries, you´ll find a continuous update on what we do and some reflections on it all. Note that these are hardly official Konstfack or WIRE evaluations but on my part only.
